The cause of breast pain after placement of implants is usually capsular contracture. The phenomenon is manifest as hardening of the scar tissue around the implants, resulting in tightening of the breasts, pain, and abnormal shape of the implanted breasts. Regarding tight feeling of the tummy tuck can be caused by fluctuations of weight due to cyclic retention of fluid or weight gain. The tummy tuck discomfort should subside as the scar tissue and skin heals and relaxes. If you do have capsular contracture, this can be treated by a board certified plastic surgeon.

Some discomfort can occur even this long after surgery however it sounds like it is increasing. For this reason, it would be a good idea to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.

It can be normal to experience some residual discomfort or aches six months after breast surgery. While many patients feel much better by this time, factors like the type of surgery, healing process, and individual sensitivity can influence recovery. I recommend being evaluated by your plastic surgeon to rule out any other contributing factors.

Your surgical areas are still going through many changes even at 6 months. You can have daily swelling go up and down at your abdomen. This largely is associated with your degree of activity. Your plastic surgeon may be able to rule out other possible findings like a small seroma. You probably do not have a seroma. As far as your breast symptoms, these may be a perfectly normal result of healing or could indicate some other process like capsular contracture. Again, a good assessment by your plastic surgeon to evaluate these issues.

Some people also experience nerve pain, which can cause tingling, shooting pains, numbness or itching, particularly where the incision was made.
