Hello and thank you for your question. Swelling after a rhinoplasty can last up to one year after surgery. The swelling typically goes down and rests in the tip, where it will last the longest. This will make the tip of your nose feel firm but should not be enough swelling for it to be visible to anyone but yourself as you may only notice it was swelling after it goes down.
It depends on how much surgery and what the MD actually does. Some patients will stay swollen for a few months and this is not uncommon. Often time your nose will subtly change over the course of a year or two! Find a doctor that you feel comfortable with and good luck.
