Right breast not dropping, permanent? (photo)

It takes 3-6 months for the tissue to relax, swelling to completely resolve, and implants to settle into their place.  You are still a little early in the recovery process to make assessments on implant position and symmetry.  Stay in contact with your plastic surgeon and try to give it a bit more time!

At 6 weeks postop, you are still relatively early on in your recovery. Things tend to even out over time as swelling subsides and the tissues soften. Follow up with your surgeon so that they may provide re assurance and oversee scar management as well as breast massage.

Thank you for your question and photograph.  My strong advice is to wait a full 4-6 weeks before considering your final result.  In the meantime, follow the advice of your plastic surgeon regarding breast implant massage. Best of luck.

In my practice, after performing a BA I recommend to my patients to limit the movement of the arms for two weeks. After that, you can move your arms taking care and always with common sense. 
In this regard, it's not advisable to carry heavy weights to prevent the implant out of position, and allow the formation of the physiological capsule around the implant, also to avoid pain and breast swelling.

Hello,Certainly, after 6 weeks the implants can still drop & fluff. It is not uncommon to note some asymmetry during this process. I recommend that you continue to follow up with your Plastic Surgeon and wait until 6 months post op to evaluate your results.All the best

It typically takes 3 - 6 months for the swelling to subside and and implants to settle into proper position. Please discuss your concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon. Also, make sure you follow all of your plastic surgeons post-operative instructions regarding level of physical activity and use of a support bra. Hope this helps and good luck with your recovery.

Breast implants associated with a breast lift tend to take a little longer to drop into position than the standard breast augmentation alone.  Six weeks is still early and time and gravity are on your side.  Several pieces of information would make it easier for your online plastic surgeons to give you a more accurate estimate whether your right implant will drop or not - are the implants under the muscle or on top and is the right implant firmer than the left.  These two pieces of information will aid in giving you a better prognosis as to the ultimate position of your right implant.If you were my patient and had this post operative problem, I would recommend the use of a one-sided ace wrap or bando to cause pressure on top of the right implant encouraging it to migrate into the appropriate pocket.  Obviously, your personal plastic surgeon has his or her own paradyme, and I would check with him or her to see what is recommended and then follow that advice.

If it takes longer than 6 to 9 months, then you can consider surgical revision to drop the breast implant down. Single stage breast implant and breast lift has a revision rate of about 25%. sometimes things take a few months to settle/stretch and drop. keep performing the messaging as your surgeon as instructed you, the bottom will round out over time during this settling process. Be patient.
