Can a 15 year old get a breast lift?

Question

I'm 15 years old and my breast already sag. Not to mention that one breast is bigger than the other one, but it's really noticeable. This lowers my confidence so much! I wear supportive bras under my clothes but when i want to wear a bathing suit, or anything that doesn't involve a bra, it's terrible. I've talked to my mother about this and she agrees and she's totally understanding. Is it possible to get a breast lift?

Thank you for your question. Generally 18 years of age would be physically appropriate to have this surgery. If your emotionally mature and there is consent by a parent then yes it is possible to get  abreast lift.   When you are ready, make sure you consult with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon.

Thank you for your question!  I hope that these answers help in making your decision.  It is not uncommon to have the symptoms that you describe, especially in teenagers once her breasts begin to fully develop.  Once one begins to have the symptoms that you state above, consideration for a surgical procedure to ameliorate your symptoms, assist with self esteem, and allow you to get back to physical activities in your youth should be done.  Given your symptoms,  you would be an ideal candidate.  You must first discuss with your parents and pediatrician, and then consulting with a plastic surgeon for evaluation and examination to assist you in deciding if this would be the right thing for you.  Your surgeon will also go over what to expect as well as the risks and benefits of the procedure.  Overall, your symptoms should be ameliorated almost immediately and hopefully give you more self confidence and an increased activity level.  Your breasts may still continue to grow over the next several years, but it is certainly reasonable to consider this at this age with the issues that you are having.  Many surgeons will recommend awaiting until full breast development prior to consideration, but discuss your concerns.  I hope that this helps!  Good luck with your decision!

At fifteen you are still growing and developing.  More questions need to be asked and are better discussed with a face to face consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon.  Why are your breasts sagging?  Are they large?  Will they sag more?  Will they get larger?  If I have surgery will it affect further development? Generally, a 15 yo with marked breast asymmetry could undergo breast surgery. You must be evaluated with a parent by a board certified PS. He/she will advise you about the risks and limitations of surgery in a patient your age. You must  have your parents permission since you are underage.  The surgery is very gratifying to the surgeon and usually the patients are very happy with the decision. The  surgery is NOT permanent and you will require additional surgery in the future following pregnancies or weight gain/loss.

If you are fifteen and have very large breasts, breast
reduction may be an appropriate procedure. It's important to be sure
expectations are realistic and you have an understanding of the commitment
needed for the healing process. Make sure that you understand the nature of
your surgery, the recovery process, and that you feel comfortable and
emotionally ready to make these changes to your body.
To perk up a drooping breast, your surgeon will remove
excess skin, reposition the nipple, and redrape and tighten the remaining skin
to support the breast. The areola may also be reduced in size. A mastopexy
(breast lift) raises droopy breasts from one to several inches and excess skin
is removed. I commonly use a minimal incision technique (Le Jour), eliminating
the need for large scars while providing a pleasing breast contour and shape that
is proportionate to the patient’s body. If you're sagging or asymmetrical, and
are looking for perkiness, you'll need a lift. The great thing about these
techniques is that they can now be down with minimal scarring and performed as
an outpatient procedure without the need for general anesthesia.

I would advise you to wait until after your atleast 18 yo.  Your breasts can still change over the next few years.  I realize you're self conscious about it , but you and your mom may want to discuss this with your pediatrician first.
