To say that I had the BEST experience ever with Dr. Rankin and his team is an understatement. From the initial call with Dee (the most caring, patient and caring coordinator), to my back and forths with Marina at the front desk and Tammy (my pre and post op nurse), to my surgery day team Paula (anesthesiologist) and Tausha (nurse), each interaction got better and better. Dr. Rankin is a top notch surgeon and is incredibly skilled. I am 3 weeks post op and could not feel happier.

Women heal when they are heard! A dear friend shared this with me and it is TRUTH!

2 years ago I went to Texas (from Florida) for removal of my implants. Having two children under 4 it was not the easiest decision but I knew I had to have them removed asap. I knew with my support team I could get it done.

Roughly 8 months after my surgery I noticed a hardness around my left pectoral muscle. Many messages, phone calls, videos, and pictures were sent to the office in Texas. Every reply I was minimized of my concerns and each passing few weeks it was getting larger. After 3 months I decided to reach out to a patient advocate… she immediately referred me over to Dee Hicks. Dee works for Dr. Rankin at Aqua Plastic Surgery in Jupiter. Three minutes into our first phone call I felt like she was hugging me through the phone. I felt HEARD! UNDERSTOOD! and knew I was on the right path for recovery. ?????
When we hung up the phone we had a plan, there was ACTION! I started collecting all documents and images of my chest so I could meet Dr. Rankin and have any questions and concerns answered. within such a reasonable time they got me scheduled. I appreciate communication when working with any office!
When my appointment came to meet Rankin I was blown away at how peaceful the entire process was. Checking in was smooth and front desk is AWESOME! To-date every time I call someone answers- when is the last time you can say that about an office?
Dr. Rankin is so professional and so easy to talk to. We figured out what was going on with me. I had a seroma and it needed to be removed. The fluid has sat there so long that a capsule formed around it. Ta-da!! Something was wrong.
Dr. Rankin listens and speaks to you as a friend. Using language and explains as though you don’t know- because most of us don’t and understanding is important! Asking doctors questions can be so intimidating- not with Rankin. His presence is so welcoming. He heard my concerns… and he made my concerns his. They got me on the schedule as soon as they could. Day of surgery was excellent. Tausha, THE nurse- she’s phenomenal. I felt confident and comfortable going into surgery.
I am day three post and I have had multiple check-ins and I feel knowledgeable in what was done to me and what I need to do to heal the best possible.

Because my schedule is flexible, and that I live 2 hrs away, I was on a wait list to fill in for a last minute cancelation. I got the call literally a month before surgery. It all moved super quick.

From start to finish, I was cared for with compassion, expertise, and the utmost professionalism, even traveling all the way from Arizona. During surgery, I discovered that my implants had been ruptured for years—something that could have caused even more damage had I not taken this step. Now, over a month post-op, more than half of my symptoms have subsided, and I can’t express how grateful I am for this life-changing experience.

I was so nervous about my explant but my results were even better than I expected. I inquired about whether I need or should get a lift as well and Dr Rankin suggested that I hold off since I still want to try for children and a lift could impact my ability to breastfeed. While I already trusted him, the fact that he didn’t suggest something that would increase my costs made me trust him more. I also no idea that I had a ruptured implant until I woke up from surgery. I am currently 7 weeks post op and I feel great, often forgetting I had surgery. I’ve called the nurses team and front staff multiple times before and after surgery and everyone I’ve spoken to has been so patient and kind! I’ve been asked multiple times if I’ve lost weight (from people who I didn’t tell about the surgery), my incisions are minimal and healing well, and my breasts are cute B cups now. Super grateful to Dr Rankin for helping me start this healing journey.

I recently got my implants taken out and when I tell you doctor rankin is the best doc out there. Him and his team were super supportive and helpful and kept me informed every step of the way, they took very good care of me and gave me clear instructions as well as a steady recovery with support every step of the way. I feel so much better than before and I am healing gracefully , I’m so excited to see the final results at the end of the year once I’m fully healed.
