How can I lift and bring my breasts closer together? (Photo)

Question

I've been wearing the incorrect bra size for about a year now which is what I think caused it. By incorrect I mean 3 cup sizes to small. Now I'm really insecure about it and it's extremely uncomfortable and heavy. I've gone through YouTube and Google and have found nothing helpful. Please help

Thank you for your question and photographs.  The first thing to think about is what size breasts do you want.  This will help guide surgical treatment options. If you would like to see an overall reduction in your breast size, a breast reduction will allow you to lift your breast tissue, reduce the size of your areola, reposition your nipples into a more youthful position, and achieve a closer symmetry between your right and left breasts.  If you want to maintain your current size, a breast lift will help elevate your breast, allow for an areola reduction, and will reposition your nipples.  If you go this route, you may want to consider an internal bra to help take the weight of your breast tissue away from your skin, while providing additional support to delay a recurrence of breast sagging.  The cleavage you have demonstrated in your photograph can not really be created through surgery. You would need to find a bra after surgery to try and emulate that look.

Your breasts are large and the wages caused a certain dissent of the breast volume. A breast reduction would achieve the ultimate size you wish, resize and reposition the areola to the normal location, and remove any excess skin that is a result of the process. You should expect an excellent result is your age although it's important you understand what the resulting incisions will look like both long-term and during wound remodeling.

A breast lift is a procedure that removes excess skin of the breast and moves the nipple areolar complex (NAC) upward to a new position on the chest wall.  It does not remove the NAC, so theoretically all feeling, sensation, blood supply and the ability to breast feed is maintained.  The operation will make the breast more "perky", reduce the size of the areola (the color around the nipple) if needed, and make the breasts more symmetrical in size and shape.  All women's breasts are shaped differently, therefore there are many different types of breast lift procedures available to choose from:Concentric or donut mastopexy (incision only around the NAC)Vertical incision, balloon or lollipop mastopexy (incision around the NAC and and a vertical incision running straight down from the 6:00 position of the areola)Anchor incision mastopexy (incision around the NAC, vertical incision and a horizontal incision all the way under the breast in the crease)Any of the above incision choices combined with a breast implant (saline or silicone, above or below the muscle)Breast implant alone, above the muscle, preferably silicone, used to fill up loose skin only, no skin is removedThe choice will depend on the consultation performed with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and the wishes and desires of the patient.  Some people are more tolerant of scars than others.  Some patients are looking for volume only and some are looking for shape only.  Detailed measurements need to be made, photographs taken and evaluation of hundreds of before and after pictures of other women who have had similar type procedures and who's body build is similar.A breast lift procedure can be performed as an outpatient under a general or sedation type anesthetic.  The blood loss is minimal and the recovery time is about one week.  It is not a particularly painful procedure, however, when and implant is added, the recovery and post operative pain is more substantial.  The price will vary from city to city and which type of lift, but typical prices will range between $4,900 and $10,000 american dollars.A final decision should be based on the feedback from your in person consultation. Your breasts are large and look very dense.  That weight pulls the breasts off your chest.  There is very little standardization in bra sizing and basically there is nothing off the shelf that would fit you!  A breast reduction will help -- it will remove the part of your breast that is on you belly.  This is also done with a lift to reposition the nipple and it will improve your asymmetry.  As for bringing them closer together, that's for the bra to do.  Cleavage is created by a bra, not surgery.  But, your bras will fit much better and you can accomplish more with them!  See a plastic surgeon in your area and discuss your option.  Good luck!

Hi There, My observation is that your left breast is larger than your right breast and if you would prefer the breasts to be closer together, we firstly need to understand if you are happy with the size of your right breast.  If so, then I would suggest a breast lift on the right and a breast reduction on the left side.  This will enhance symmetry and also the position of your breasts, including bringing them closer.

A breast lift will raise the breasts and can bring them a little closer together. Removing a little tissue from your left breast will help balance the size difference. If the weight, heaviness and pulling are an issue you would also be a good candidate for breast reduction which will reduce the size and lift the breasts at the same time.
