Can I get a spot IPL treatment and Voluma injections on the same day?

I would prefer to treat a patient with a laser or light-based therapy before administering fillers. However, I don’t do spot treatments because you can end up with skin that has discontinuous tone. Voluma can be injected immediately after IPL without any problems. Consulting a board-certified dermatologist will always get you the healthiest, most professional looking results. 

Thank you for your question.  Yes you can combine IPL laser treatment and Voluma in the same day.  I would recommend that you have the IPL laser done first and then have the Voluma injection after!  They are both great treatments with wonderful results.

Hello and thank you for your question.  It is absolutely fine to have both procedures done in the same visit.  I would suggest, however, to have your IPL done first then the injections.  Any inflammation caused by injections can create a more sensitive field for the IPL.  Best of luck!

You can absolutely do IPL and Voluma at the same setting.  We perform both during the same visit routinely.  Typically we do the IPL prior to the injection.  No additional post-procedure instructions other then the standard post IPL and post injection instructions which your provider should review with you.  Good luck!

Absolutely. In my practice I perform the IPL first followed by Voluma or any other filler injections. I personally do not like spot laser treatments simply because it is difficult to chase spots on your skin, you end up paying even more and will not get the same benefits you would get by having the whole face done with the IPL.
