At 40 years old your skin tone and elasticity is probably reasonable enough to do a FaceTite procedure. This is done through 3 small incisions: one behind each earlobe and one under the chin. Local anesthetic is infiltrated across your entire neck, jawline and lower face. Liposuction is done first to remove any excess fat, and then the FaceTite probe is inserted which uses radio frequency energy to tighten the skin and induce collagen growth which further tightens the skin over the following several months. After finishing the FaceTite I usually treat the area with Morpheus8 for improved skin tightening. This procedure is done in an office operating room under minimal sedation anesthesia. It is painless to go through and the recovery is painless as well. You have to wear a Velcro compressive neck strap for a week or two. Most people look non-surgical after 3 to 4 days at which time they can resume full activities.
Thank you for your question and sharing your photograph. The profile view shows prominence of the submandibular glands, some volume excess generated by fatty tissue in the central part of the neck, and probably a significant amount of this is hereditary in nature. There is also some laxity along the jawline and in the anterior cheek, with the soft tissue of the cheek coming close to the corner of the mouth. In my opinion, the ideal approach, if you want to change the contour of the jawline and neck, would be to combine a deep plane facelift and neck lift. This would address the combined characteristics of the lower face and neck. However, a deep plane neck lift is also an option. But it would give you less improvement around the lower face.
Sometimes nothing beats an Advanced Lower Face/Neck Lift under local for the optimal profile. It is easy to undergo and looks so natural and dramatic. Cost is roughly $20,000 for quality work and there is minimal to no pain afterwards.
We would recommend doing a hourlift which would be a face and necklift that would tighten muscles in the face and the neck and remove excess skin on the face and the neck. We would also recommend doing the neck liposuction for a more structured jawline and neck area. The hourlift also comes with any filler and botox needed the day of surgery at no charge. The price of the surgery for everything together would be under $10,000.
It appears, based on this photo, that lower face/neck lift would be a good procedure; possibly small augmentation with chin implant In person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon with experience in facial rejuvenation is recommended. Good luck.
Hello, hope you are well. Based on the photo, you appear to be a great candidate for a deep neck lift, and possibly a small chin implant. This type of contour at your age and weight usually has much more to do with the deep fat compartments of the central neck. By removing subplatysmal fat, and sometimes contouring additional structures, you can improve the side profile and jawline definition substantially. A small incision is needed under the chin. Please feel free to call or contact my practice for costs.Best,Dr. Tower
From the submitted photo it appears you would have the best result from a surgical lower face and neck lift. This would improve contours and give more definition to the jawline. You could consider other options such as FaceTite and facial liposuction but it will not produce the same results as a surgical lift.
This is a cobra neck deformity. This usually occurs due to over-resection of the central components of the neck (midline inter-digastric and inter-platysmal deep fat) adjacent to inadequate treatment of adjacent platysmal bands and submandibular glands. I would recommend a revision deep plane...
While liposuction can remove excess fat, it is not the most effective solution for improving the neck angle because the neck is more than just fat—it’s a structural system of muscles and skin that change with age. Simply removing fat without addressing the underlying muscle laxity and s...
I would recommend a facelift/necklift. This would be the most reasonable plan to provide a long-term stable result.
