Coolsculpting or Lipo on a petite 34 year old?

Question

I can’t decide whether I should do Coolsculpting or Lipo. My areas of concern is my lower back/flanks and outer thighs. From my research it seems I would need at least 4 treatments and 2-3 cycles, so once I add the cost it’s not far off from what lipo would cost for a much more dramatic result. However I know I don’t have that much fat (I don’t think) so is Lipo really necessary?

Rosalyn  I appreciate your concern and it appears from your photographs that your troublesome areas are your lower back and posterior flanks. Your abdomen and anterior flanks look fine and attractive. Traditional liposuction contouring is by far your best option for the reasons that you yourself mention. I have operated on many patients who were more than underwhelmed by their result from CoolSculpt. Consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area to greatly increase your chances of the best possible results. Good luck.

Thank you for your question! Based on your photos, you are an excellent candidate for liposuction of the flanks, back, and outer thighs. Liposuction will remove the unwanted fat from those areas in one procedure, versus having to have multiple rounds of treatments. In this regard, I recommend you waist and back Liposculpture, getting better curves especially in the waist, improving your body contour.
Finally, I suggested take the fat we get and transfer to the buttocks and hips, to mold them and get better volume, contour and butt projection, is that we know as "Brazilian Butt Lift" (BBL).Kind regards

Liposuction would make a huge improvement and is easy to undergo with getting back to work in only 2 days and back to the gym in 1 week when done under tum. local. Don't waste your time and money on gimmicky things like cool sculpting that usually does nothing but drain your wallet.

Based on your photographs, you are a better candidate for waistline contouring liposuction of your flanks and lower back.  This can greatly improve your overall shape with a smaller waist.  Liposuction is much more effective than coolscupting in the right patient.  Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results.

Hello and thank you for your question and sharing your photos. Based on these pictures, you are a good candidate for liposuction. Ideal candidates for liposuction have a normal or close to normal body weight,  they have stubborn areas of adiposity that they can't get rid of despite adequate diet and exercise, and have a good skin tone with no significant stretch marks. :Liposuction is a surgical procedure performed under anesthesia. Recovery can be around 5-7 days. Final results can take 3 months or so to show. In the right hands, you can have a sculpted abdomen and waist with liposuction. In contrast, coolsculpting is not as effective as liposuction in removing the fat. You are right in that depending on the number of treatment sessions, it can become as expensive if not more expensive than liposuction. Having said that, coolsclupting is not a surgical procedure. There is no need for anesthesia and there is no down time. At the end of the day, final decision is yours and comes down to your expectations. If you are looking for a sculpted look and are willing to undergo a surgical procedures with a few days of down time, you will be better off with liposuction. If you are looking for some improvement in your waist, and cannot have surgery, try coolsculpting. I hope this helps. Best,Pejman Aflaki, M.D.

If you are looking to remove fat from your back and thighs a coolsculpting is not an option. Liposuction will give you better results, immediately and as you said more dramatic.
