Is clear gel ok to wear?
Thank you for your question.I wouldn’t recommend this simply because you do not want to cause any issues with the anesthesiologist getting a clear reading of your vitals. It’s best to follow the instructions of your surgeon. Best of luck.Sincerely,James Fernau, MD, FACSBoard Certified ENTBoard Certified Plastic SurgeryMember of ASPS, ASAPS, ISAPS, The Rhinoplasty Society, AAFPRS, OTO/HNS, ASLMS, International Federation for Adipose Therapeutics & Science
I would not think clear polish would hurt anything as far as being able to get a good read of vital signs. Gel or shellac however would need to be avoided because it can make the nails too thick to read through.
