I recommend that my patients take 100 grams of protein each day during the healing phase for the first six weeks following surgery. This protein can be in the form of manufactured premier protein shakes or optimum whey protein added to milk or water. The objective is not weight gain but promotion of healing. All the best!
Thank you for your question! It is important to maintain proper hydration and eat a well balanced diet after your surgery. This is not the proper time to go on a "diet" so make sure you are not gaining or losing too much weight during this time. Best of luck to you with everything! Sincerely,Jaime Perez, MD, FACS
After any surgery it is important to stay well hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids and to maintain good nutrition throughout the pre and post-op period. For my patients, I suggest they drink at least one protein shake per day for a week leading up to the surgery and two weeks after. Good Luck
Thank you for the question. I would recommend well balanced diet and proper hydration. Check with your surgeon for pre op instructions. Good luck.
I think it is most important to eat right by having a balanced diet. While I would not recommend overeating, I certainly would not recommend dieting either.
Thank you for your question.I would consult with your surgeon on what their aftercare protocol is for their patients. I do not recommend trying to gain or lose weight as this can affect your results. It is best to maintain your weight and follow a healthy-well balanced diet high in protein. Best of luck in your endeavors.Sincerely,James Fernau, MD, FACSBoard Certified ENTBoard Certified Plastic SurgeryMember of ASPS, ASAPS, ISAPS, The Rhinoplasty Society, AAFPRS, OTO/HNS, ASLMS, International Federation for Adipose Therapeutics & Science

In order to give your fat graft a chance to 'take' you really should not be putting any pressure directly on the area which received the fat transfer. We advise our BBL patients not to sit (or drive) for three weeks following surgery and to wear a compression garment for the first two weeks. Fo...
I am sorry that you have some contour irregularities. Often these do get better when the swelling goes down. However at 3 months out you should not be seeing so much of this.. You should give it a few more months and then re-evalauted. You might need a lipo revision or fat grafting.
