I am having a skin only mini tummy tuck until LA tomorrow. I wasn't concerned until I spoke with the nurse and she said the injections can be quite painful. Just wondering if anyone had any experience in this and whether it varies from person to person or whether I should ask for sedation. If I do ask for sedation will it increase the time before I am allowed home thanks
Answer: Skin only mini tummy tuck By now your procedure is likely done and you are well on your way to a smooth recovery. The key in a procedure like this done with local anesthesia is slow infiltration of the numbing medicine. Some degree of pain is inevitable, so a little oral sedation prior to the procedure is a nice touch as well. For my patients who simply prefer to feel "no pain" with the procedure, IV sedation is a great option as well. Hope you are doing well. It will be interesting to hear your story as it evolves so I hope you will keep us all updated. Cheers.

Answer: Anaesthesia mini tummy tuck Yes, depending on the extent of the mini tummy tuck you might experience having an injection with local anaesthesia. Sedation would make the experience more bearable and less painful but it will increase your time spent within the facility.

Answer: Anesthesia options for mini #tummytuck hi jlo1103. Sedation is a good idea so that you are relaxed and more comfortable. You will need to have someone drive you to and from your procedure, stay with you at home for at least 24 hours depending upon what meds they use. You are correct that individual pain tolerances vary-notwithstanding, sedation is beneficial. Good luck,

Answer: Mini tummy under local anesthesia is possible If there is no muscle tightening planned or umbilical float, then a mini under local anesthesia might be a very reasonable choice. With oral pre-medication, the injections should be very tolerable.
