Can this scar be excised and stitched to the areola border so that it's no longer visible? (Photos)

Can this scar be excised and stitched to the areola border so that it's no longer visible? Or is too far off the areola laterally? Is there any improvement that can be made surgically? Like excising a crescent shape around the scar? A surgeon told me that that would cause a distortion to the areola shape. Is that true? Thanks.
