Can preoperative breast fat reduction via CoolSculpting reduce the liposuction time required during gynecomastia surgery?

My surgeon diagnosed me with mixed grade 2 gynecomastia that requires surgery. I'm considering undergoing CoolSculpting in the chest area beforehand to reduce the fatty component of the condition. My hope is that this will shorten the liposuction portion of the procedure and potentially lead to a faster recovery. Do you think this is a good approach?

The results of CoolSculpting are unpredictable so there’s no guarantee on how much fat can be removed. While you may experience a small amount of fat loss with a series of sessions, the treatment also causes inflammation of the tissues. You would have to wait for the inflammation to subside before proceeding with liposuction, which could take a couple of months. For this reason, it would probably be more effective to simply go with liposuction alone, as it would save you the time and money spent on CoolSculpting.
