I had my primary in January 2021. I went in requesting a natural result to my Roman nose to shave my dorsal hump slightly and to refine the tip. I was left with an extremely scooped, significantly lowered radix, upturn Barbie nose that moves in and out when I breathe. I look nothing like my old self and have been dealing with crippling identity loss due to the dramatic change in my appearance. What can be done?

Answer: Can you re-ask your question with nasal profile photos? Without a profile photo, it is difficult to appreciate and over resected nasal bridge appearance on you. In fact, your frontal nasal appearance looks narrowed and improved. Wishing you well. Sincerely, Dr Joseph

Answer: Revision rhinoplasty Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photographs, you may benefit from a Revision in order to derotate your nasal tip and build the bridge back up. In order to derotate the nasal tip scar tissue must be released and extended spreader grafts can be placed. I prefer to place a mastoid onlay graft on the dorsum in order to slightly build the dorsum back. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G.
