Constant swelling and irritation 1.5 years after revision rhinoplasty

Question

I am 1.5 years post revision rhinoplasty that left me with a very unsatisfactory outcome. My nose cartilage is crooked, my columella gone, but the greatest problem is the constant swelling and irritation. I'm very confused at what exactly is happening. I am very thin-skinned, but when I "squeeze" my nose it makes a squelching sound like it's full of edema. I'm unsure if this is scar-tissue, cartilage, or just edema here 1.5 years post. Although swelling can last longer than 1.5 years postop, based on your description you may be in need of a revision, particularly since you state that you have thin skin. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person.
