Is it possible to fix indented nostril? Could it be a small revision on the specific area? (Photos)

Question

As you can see from the photographs, the left side of my nostril has a small indent in the skin of my columella. I understand that it may become less noticeable over time due to factors like swelling. But will it be possible to get it closer to the edited version of the picture? What would be the required procedure? Would the surgeon need to re-cut and re-stitch the entire length of the columella, or could they simply perform a small revision on only the indented area? I am not interested in fillers as I have been told they are not a great solution in that area. Thank you very much for your insight.

Fixing this would likely require a small elliptical incision and reapproximation, something that can be done under local anesthesia. Depending on how far out you are from surgery, your surgeon may advise you to wait until you're fully recovered.

Seems that the closure of the Rethi incision at the columella was of suboptimal quality; easy fix: under local anesthesia a revision of that closure.

This is a tough area to repair. A permanent injection like Silikon can help but only go to Silikon experts like Dr. Eric Joseph.
If you want a surgical correction, that can be done but it is a bit more involved. Watch the video to understand the process.

Based on your photograph, you may benefit from a from a minor revision of this area which can smooth the contour but it really depends on how far out from surgery you are. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.

Sometimes we can improve the appearance of columella incisions with microdroplet Silikon-1000 injections, however, I believe that your incision was not lined up properly on your right side, and this should be a relatively simple fix in the office.
