Why is my nose tip still swollen 3 years post-op? Would a steroid injection help? (Photos)

If you didn't do any taping/injections postop, it's possible it is due to the accumulation of scar tissue around your nose. I think it's tootally reasonable to try a steroid injection.

They corrode and destroy skeletal elements, atrophy skin and mucosa, impair blood flow, etc, a calamitous misconception: when injected thery are not anti-inflammatory but alike to an "acid".

Better images are need (profiles, obliques), but if you wish to improve your tip indeed the option is a revision.

Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photographs, you may benefit from a revision rhinoplasty. A surgeon can accomplish this by trimming, suturing, and reshaping the cartilage in your lower nose. Fascial grafts may also be used to help improve tip refinement. You could try steroids as well, but likely a revision is your best bet.With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.

In general, we utilize steroid injections when there is swelling of the supratip, not the tip itself. Additionally, I doubt that you have significant swelling almost 3 years after your surgery. Before considering revision with your original surgeon, it might be helpful to get a second opinion from another reputable rhinoplasty specialist.
