Thanks for your question. A BBL requires 360 lipo, which is lipo of the upper and lower abdomen, the upper and lower back and the flanks. In addition, if you do not have enough fat in these areas, liposuction can be performed in many other areas of the body for fat transfer to the buttocks, such as the upper arms and chin. Based on your pictures, you would be asked to gain some weight for a BBL. I recommend you schedule a consult for a proper evaluation. Make sure your surgeon you choose has extensive experience with Skinny BBLs and clean credentials. Always consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Take care, Moises Salama MD, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon
Thank you for your inquiry regarding whether you have sufficient fat for a Brazilian butt lift (BBL). As a plastic surgeon, I can advise you that, in my opinion, you may need to gain around 20 pounds to achieve optimal results. However, it is essential to note that the amount of transferred fat that survives can vary, with a maximum survival rate of 80%. This implies that to have approximately 480 cc of fat per buttock, you would need to have 1200 cc of pure fat available for transfer, which is a substantial amount. Based on my assessment, you may not have a significant amount of fat to transfer. If you intend to gain weight, you can expedite the process by consuming high-carbohydrate and high-sugar foods. Nonetheless, I advise you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon to determine if BBL suits you and the optimal approach to achieve your desired results. Best of luck.
Hello @Fiilthyriiches, thank you for your question. When we see patients with body proportions that tend to be quite thin, it is possible to perform liposculpture because we find accumulations of fat that can be removed with different technologies such as vaser and micro air. This fat can be transferred to the buttocks to increase the projection and volume of the buttocks. It is best to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon to create a surgery plan that meets your needs and expectations. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS. It takes a large amount of fat to truly augment a buttocks with fat grafting, typically 500cc-1500cc per side. Not all fat harvested from liposuction is re-injected as much of what is harvested is aqueous (water) solution and dead fat cells. Only about 30-50% of what is harvested is typically re-injected and sometimes this is less. Therefore, it takes harvesting a large amount of fat in order to get a good result. Based on the pictures that you have posted, it does not appear that you have enough fat to make a substantial difference for a buttock augmentation.
Thank you for your questions dear @FiilthyriichesChecking your pictures you do not have a lot of fat that is something you need to keep in mind but you can have a 360 liposculpture in order to remove the fat you have in your abdomen and back and transferred to your buttock and give you a little more projection. You should know that your results will not be with a big butt, you will have a little more volume but nothing exaggerated. Hope this helps, good luck!
Dear Fiilthyriiches, based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a BBL. Liposuction of your abdomen, back and flanks should give you more curves and hourglass shape and fat transfer to buttocks should give you more projection. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Photos show you have almost no fat to transfer! BMI around 22! Only can offer injection BBL with combination of Radiese/Sculptra in larger volume amounts. Expect fee per session $25,000+ because of the high costs of these products. This can be done under local anesthesia with ultrasound guided injections. Best to virtual consult with...
The term Brazilian butt lift refers to using one’s own fat to harvest and re-inject into the buttocks for volume enhancement. In order to do so, there has to be a reasonable amount of fat to perform liposuction upon in order to harvest the fat for re-injection. Several different areas can be used for harvesting fat on the human body. Commonly the abdomen, the lower extremities, and flanks are often used. I do not think that you are out of possibilities, however, the volume that could be added to your buttock is dependent on how much fat you retain in other areas of your body. Additionally, there are other options to bring volume to the buttocks with prosthetics, however, this is not without its own risks.
Dear Filthyriiches,You really do have only a very modest amount of fat for transfer into your buttocks from your flanks. Keep in mind that an unknown percentage of the fat will also be absorbed during the healing process. So, your results could be very subtle. Good luck!
While you are athletic, you do have some fat at your sides and lower back (only a little in the anterior abdomen). If you desire a 'skinny BBL', then you may be a candidate. If unrealistic expectations, then you should reframe from attempting surgery.Best wishes,Dr. Taranow
My advice is to lose as much weight as you can before you undergo 360 liposuction and fat transfer to the buttocks and hips. High BMI correlates with a significantly higher risk of surgical and anesthesia complications: Bleeding, DVT, PE, heart attacks, strokes and death. Also, your result would...
Thanks for your question. A BBL requires 360 lipo, which is lipo of the upper and lower abdomen, the upper and lower back and the flanks. From you pictures, it seems you have excess skin in your abdominal and back area. If liposuction is performed, there will be more loose skin because the fat...
