Im 5'9, 143 lbs, slim/ athletic build, 34yr. I want more volume to my butt but was told to see a specialist bc i don't have enough fat. I want a 2nd opinion.
Answer: Skinny BBL Thanks for your question. A BBL requires 360 lipo, which is lipo of the upper and lower abdomen, the upper and lower back and the flanks. In addition, if you do not have enough fat in these areas, liposuction can be performed in many other areas of the body for fat transfer to the buttocks, such as the upper arms and chin. Based on your pictures, you would be asked to gain some weight for a BBL. I recommend you schedule a consult for a proper evaluation. Make sure your surgeon you choose has extensive experience with Skinny BBLs and clean credentials. Always consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Take care, Moises Salama MD, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon

Answer: Gain Some Weight Before Your BBL Thank you for your inquiry regarding whether you have sufficient fat for a Brazilian butt lift (BBL). As a plastic surgeon, I can advise you that, in my opinion, you may need to gain around 20 pounds to achieve optimal results. However, it is essential to note that the amount of transferred fat that survives can vary, with a maximum survival rate of 80%. This implies that to have approximately 480 cc of fat per buttock, you would need to have 1200 cc of pure fat available for transfer, which is a substantial amount. Based on my assessment, you may not have a significant amount of fat to transfer. If you intend to gain weight, you can expedite the process by consuming high-carbohydrate and high-sugar foods. Nonetheless, I advise you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon to determine if BBL suits you and the optimal approach to achieve your desired results. Best of luck.

Answer: Do I have enough fat for a BBL? Hello @Fiilthyriiches, thank you for your question. When we see patients with body proportions that tend to be quite thin, it is possible to perform liposculpture because we find accumulations of fat that can be removed with different technologies such as vaser and micro air. This fat can be transferred to the buttocks to increase the projection and volume of the buttocks. It is best to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon to create a surgery plan that meets your needs and expectations. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS. Answer: Agree with Original Opinion It takes a large amount of fat to truly augment a buttocks with fat grafting, typically 500cc-1500cc per side. Not all fat harvested from liposuction is re-injected as much of what is harvested is aqueous (water) solution and dead fat cells. Only about 30-50% of what is harvested is typically re-injected and sometimes this is less. Therefore, it takes harvesting a large amount of fat in order to get a good result. Based on the pictures that you have posted, it does not appear that you have enough fat to make a substantial difference for a buttock augmentation.

Answer: Do I have enough fat for a BBL? Thank you for your questions dear @Fiilthyriiches Checking your pictures you do not have a lot of fat that is something you need to keep in mind but you can have a 360 liposculpture in order to remove the fat you have in your abdomen and back and transferred to your buttock and give you a little more projection. You should know that your results will not be with a big butt, you will have a little more volume but nothing exaggerated. Hope this helps, good luck!
