Will butt fluctuate as I loose and gain weight after a BBL?

Hello @BeautifullyBare, thank you for your question. You don't need to gain more weight to have a BBL or gluteal lipoinjection. In fact, gaining more weight would alter the results. In BBL, fat from other areas of the body is transferred to the buttocks. Therefore, if you put on weight before the procedure it won't be as effective as when you are at your normal weight. As to whether your weight will fluctuate as easily or not really depends on your genetic disposition among other things. Remember that when fat its seeded in an area of the body, and successfully adheres, those fat cells will shrink if you lose weight or grow if you gain weight. I link a video to shed some more light. I personally do not recommend people to gain weight for a BBL. Putting weight on goes all over your body and liposuction only targets certain areas; leaving excess fat in areas which may not be treatable. Subsequent weight loss or gain will effect your result as those fat cells grow and shrink like any other fat cells.

The fat transferred to your buttocks is affected in the same manner as when you normally lose weight or gain weight or exercise. Hope this helps. Every time you gain or loose weight all your body will be changing not only the BBL, if you doctor recommends to gain weight try not only do that also include a exercises routine, buttocks with a good combination of fat and muscle are always better and when you loose weight does not change too much

Yes, major weight fluctuation can impact your BBL results. Significant changes can also affect the laxity of the skin, so volume as well as appearance of the skin can both be impacted. Minor weight fluctuations typically do not impact results.

Thank you for your question. After a BBL the fat cells will respond to weight fluctuations like the other fat cells that you have on the rest of your body. Also, weight fluctuations can cause flaccidity of the skin which is something that you don’t want to have after fat transfer.

I do not recommend patients gain weight for the purpose of having fat transfer procedures. Rarely do people look or feel better gaining weight.
Any Weight gain done for the purpose of having the procedure will have to be maintained in order to see maintained results.
Unless you plan on maintaining the increased weight for the rest of your life it simply doesn’t make sense.
For patients who are slightly lacking in body fat for the ideal fat transfer procedure it’s better to include more areas to harvest fat from. First and foremost of the entire torso it should be treated and after that upper and or lower extremities can be added as well.Each person has a unique fat distribution and some people carry more fat on their thighs than they do on their entire torso.
Without pictures we can’t make an assessment. The concept of gaining fat to have a fat transfer procedure is simply not good advice in my opinion.
Some people simply don’t have enough fat to justify having the procedure. At some point it simply doesn’t make sense to do a liposuction of the entire body for a result that will be just potentially visible.
Debility to assess how much fat can be harvested from liposuction always requires an in person consultation and can be challenging. The difference in the amount of fat that can be harvested from someone who is subcutaneous fat layer is only an eighth of an inch thicker can make enough difference that the procedure is successful or not.
The ability to live her consistent quality liposuction and fat transfer results is more difficult than most people believe. This also includes the ability to make an accurate assessment. like I said earlier an accurate assessment always requires having an in person consultation with an examination.
The variation and outcomes for both Liposuction and fat transfer as well as the ability to make accurate assessments varies dramatically from provider to provider.
Liposuction and to some degree fat transfer results should be considered permanent and irreversible. If done poorly patients can be left disfigured and the importance of choosing the right provider cannot be overstated.
Defined the best provider including getting the most accurate assessment I recommend anybody considering this procedure I have multiple in person consultations. I recommend patients avoid virtual consultation with you whenever possible and avoid traveling long distances for elective surgical procedures.
During each consultation ask each provider to open up their portfolio and show you their entire collection of before and after pictures.
Ask specifically to see as many pictures as possible of previous patients with similar body characteristics to your own.
This is the most accurate way to find out what results will most likely look like as well as the ability to vet the provider in regards to what average results look like in their hands and how many case they have actually done. Being shown a handful of preselected results which most likely represents the best results of the providers career is insufficient to get a clear understanding of what average results look like in the hands of each provider. for reference and experience provider should have no difficulty showing you at least 50 sets up before and after pictures. Ask each provider to show you examples of excellent outcomes, average outcomes and less than outcomes.
Always confirm the time interval between the procedure and went after pictures were taken.
Have pictures taken of your own torso similar to have plastic surgeons take before and after pictures and bring printed versions of those pictures with you for reference when comparing before and after pictures.
When in doubt slow down and schedule more consultations.
