Hello! I had a BBL 4/5/21. I’ve attached pictures of my stomach before (labeled w B) and pictures after. I had a seroma on my left and right side after surgery which has hardened. I’m not sure if I have fibrosis, received bad lipo, or what but I need helping on how to fix this. I am 35 years old 5’7” 155lbs. I’d like a tummy tuck to be the last resort and I’m scared that lipo may cause more damage but I’m open to anything atp. Please help!
Answer: Unsure if this is fibrosis, Scarring, or bad lipo. what can I do to minimize its appearance? Hello @Luminous4013, thank you for your question. There are several factors that influence the diagnosis, including whether or not there has been previous liposuction. Often when a sweep is done with laser or other technology and there are previous surgeries, as there is less fat, the depressions are more noticeable. For more information and recommendations, it is best to consult one or more board-certified plastic surgeons. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS. Answer: BBL results Dear Luminous4013, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: BBL issues I suggest you follow up with the provider who did your procedure. Overall it looks like an excellent outcome. You were not necessarily an ideal candidate for Liposuction. It looks like you have pregnancy related changes with significant skin laxity and stretch marks in your before pictures. With loose skin and aggressive liposuction you’re not gonna have an ideal outcome. Tommy tech may have been a better procedure in regards to your abdomen in the first place. Your BBL was done well but it was also very aggressive. Follow up with your provider. He or she is responsible for the outcome of the procedure and you are responsible for choosing that provider. Alternatively you can consult with other plastic surgeons if you’d like bud it’s reasonable for those providers to charge for the after care. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD

Answer: Rectus diastasis and residual fat Hi Luminous4013. In patients who have had liposuction in the past, it is hard to discern much from pictures. However, I'll try to answer your question as best as I can.It seems to me that you may have some residual fat in your bra roll and lower back/lovehandle. The bulge you see on your lower abdomen is likely due to rectus diastasis (separation of ab muscles during pregnancy). Unfortunately, we you need a tummy tuck to have your rectus diastasis repaired.
