If you’re going to be standing for a long period of time and dancing or jumping around, then I wouldn’t recommend it. It could seriously compromise your recovery. However, if it’s a classical music concert where you’ll be sitting, then that may be possible. I think you should ask your surgeon for their advice.
As I tell my patients, you make take gentle walks within a few days following your #surgery. Light #activity may be started 7-10 days after surgery. If your work keeps you sedentary, you may return whenever you feel up to it. If your work is strenuous, wait until your work activity does not cause any superficial pain. Some employers will modify a person’s job duties so they can back sooner, but without physical, strenuous activity for a specified period of time. Do not begin light aerobic #exercise for 3 weeks and strenuous exercise for at least 6 weeks. Let your body tell you what it can tolerate. It is always recommended to call and see your surgeon to discuss your healing concerns.
I ask my patients to not elevate their heart rate or blood pressure for 4-6 weeks after surgery. That being said, if you are going to the type of concert where you will not be elbowed, jostled or crowded (think sitting in your own seat, or going to a classical concert), you may be OK. However, even in that setting, discomfort or fatigue or other factors may prevent your from enjoying the concert. This would be an excellent question to ask your board certified plastic surgeon. good luck!
Hi and thanks for your question. Congratulations for your breast augmentation,I usually ask my patients to rest the first week post op, which doesn´t mean staying on bed but take it easy. Going to a concert is out of this, now, are you going to be in a middle of a crowd? I don´t recommend it. Ask your plastic surgeon for his advice.Best wishes.Dr. Milla
A concert 5 days after breast augmentation ? It depends on the concert. Certainly there should be no crowd surfing, or jumping around and screaming for your favorite heart throb! As always, speak with your plastic surgeon regarding your specific case. I would tell my patient that there should be no activity that increases their heart rate or blood pressure. If it is a wild testosterone fueled mosh pit show then I would say give it a pass. Speak with your doctor regarding specifics. Hope this helps
As you recover from your breast augmentation, you want to make sure you are comfortable, rested, and able to recover in a safe environment while continuing to follow the post-operative instructions given to you by your plastic surgeon (medications, ambulating, etc). It would not be a wise if you are standing for several hours in a crowded area where people may be bumping or pushing you, or placed in any situation which may aggravate your surgical site and healing, but a small local venue with a short concert in comfortable seats can be a completely different situation. Discuss the details of this concert and your healing progress with your plastic surgeon who can better advise you on whether you should go or not.
Thanks for the question. In my practice, after performing a BA I recommend to my patients to limit the movement of the arms for two weeks. After that, you can move your arms taking care and always with common sense. In this regard, it's not advisable to carry heavy weights to prevent the implant...
Thank you for your question. You should follow up with your surgeon to discuss wound care management. best of luck. Regards
Thank you for your question and photograph, and it appears that you will have a very nice result. In your case the swelling from surgery is flattening your implants and holding them high on your chest. Though they will not get bigger, the volume within the implant will redistribute towards the...
