Will a high dosage of Ibuprofen (1000mg) daily effect my Rhinoplasty results?

At three weeks after your rhinoplasty you should be fine. Your results will not be affected. Take it according to your gyno's recomendations.

Dear Georgia1213,Thank you for your question. At three weeks after surgery, ibuprofen will not negatively affect your rhinoplasty. During the first week after surgery I recommend my patients do not take ibuprofen due to the risk of increased bleeding and bruising. You are now far enough out from surgery that it is safe to take ibuprofen. Make sure to take the medication with food due to the negative affects it can have on your stomach. Best of luck!

Ms Georgia,Congratulations on your rhinoplasty. No worries about your rhinoplasty.  The high dose ibuprofen will not hurt it and may help to rid of postop swelling. Watch your stomach though on those high doses, it can tear your stomach lining up.  You may want to take Pepcid or zantac during this time period.  Good luck.  Cramps be gone!!!!

Ibuprofen 3 weeks after your rhinoplasty should not affect the rhinoplasty results. The main concern with ibuprofen post-OP is the increased risk of bleeding and bruising. After 3 weeks, the nose should have healed enough where those factors should not play a role any more. However, you should check with your surgeon for his or her recommendations and also with you pharmacist and Ob-Gyn regarding the dosage as 1,000 mg ibuprofen is rather a high dose. Best wishes!

Other than the effect of the ibuprofen on your stomach (need to take with food), it should not impact your nasal surgery 3 weeks postop.  Ibuprofen can potentiate nasal bleeding however, that should not be an issue 3 weeks out.  Good luck
