Will width of nostrils increase after Rhinoplasty?

Nasal packing, even when used on one side only, should not affect nostril width. Any distortion caused by the packing will be temporary, and your nostril should resume its previous shape. Thanks for your post.

Swelling after a rhinoplasty depends of the surgery complexity.
In this regard, the nasal swelling Post-op It can last from two weeks to two months.
To reduce this swelling, I recommend you perform delicates daily lymphatic drainage massage therapy over the face (around the nose) avoid sun exposure, and take pain/inflamation pills, as your surgeron precribe you.

The packing was probably put there to prevent blood from accumulating in a certain area.  It would be very unlikely for packing in place for only 2 days to have any long term effect on the size or shape of your nostrils.  Typically it would require several weeks of packing/stenting a nostril after surgery to have any permanent effect on the shape.  We sometimes do this after reconstructive surgery to prevent a nostril from scarring down and becoming smaller, for example.  In these cases we stent for weeks or months.
