When my forehead is relaxed, everything seems normal. When I raise my eyes brows or have an expression there is a noticeable dent right underneath my hairline. As far as I can remember, it’s been there forever. any suggestions on how to hide this?! Thank you.

Answer: What can be done about my forehead dent? No one seems to know what the solution is. The forehead raising muscle that spans the whole forehead is called the frontalis muscle. While in the womb, the two sides of the face meet in the middle. In most people, this leads to the frontalis muscle being a single muscle that goes all the way across. Some people have a gap the whole way in the middle with 2 distinct muscles. For you, the muscle likely divides slightly at the top. When you raise your forehead, the muscle bulges (think of flexing your biceps) but at the top, there is no muscle there. To decrease the appearance of the area, you could have Botox (or xeomin or dysport) injected into your forehead to decrease the muscle action and prevent this "dent" from being visible.
