I had a facelift from Warren Katz 2 years ago. He removed a large amount of subcutaneous fat from my lower and side face. This has been a nightmare ever since! My cheeks have become hollow and asymmetrical. My jowls are hanging and fat that was left has inched around my perioral area. What can be done?
Answer: Fat removal with facelift I am very sorry that your facelift results were not as expected. I would suggest a face to face visit with an experienced facelift surgeon who performs revision surgery and commonly performs fat grafting and perhaps laser resurfacing which would improve the texture of the skin. I do not believe non invasive or minimally invasive options would be of significant benefit.

Answer: Face feels like it’s collapsing after fat removed with the face lift 2 years ago. Thank you for your question and your photos. Based on your photos, you may likely benefit from dermal filler injections or perhaps fat transfer to the face. Dermal fillers or fat injections may also camouflage the laxity in the prejowl deformity. While willing to consider surgical procedure, a neck lift may possibly help with what you are describing as extra inches in the perioral area. I recommend a consultation with the board certified plastic surgeon. I wish you the best of luck.

Answer: Facelift Revision It appears that you could get an improved result with a revision facelift. Hard to judge exactly what is needed to give you a better result with just the photos you have submitted but the first step to an improvement would be to see a qualified plastic surgeon who can do a complete exam. Bring your old photos and a copy of the operative report as well. From what you have provided, changing the skin vectors for the skin along with removal of excess skin in in the neck followed by fat grafting of the cheeks would help.Best of LuckDr. J

Answer: What can help? Hi Leisa1I am sorry to hear of your concerns. A face lift (like my Concept Facelift) should make you feel much better - not worse. As you know over time volume gets depleted from the face, skin looses elasticity and tissues descend in different degrees. Face lift surgery address any of these concerns to achieve a natural youthful appearance. If you have had previous surgery this will cause internal scarring, distortion of tissues and depending on technique and surgeon, will have unpredictable progression of the ageing face.It is important to have a thorough consultation with a plastic surgeon that deals with revision surgery to improve the symmetry, contour and generally rejuvenating the face. Your concerns can be improved provided you have a correct treatment plan by a specialist. However due to previous surgery and scaring, it won't ever achieve what you had before. All the best with your journey and getting the results you want.

Answer: Face feels like it's collapsing after so much fat was removed from lower face after facelift 2 years ago. it appears that the neck was lifted, but not the cheek area. In addition you have had significant aging of the midface region with volume loss allowing for the cheek skin to sag. I would recommend revision of the procedure and include fat grafting to the cheek and midface for a rejuvenated appearance.
