I have hypothyroidism and I am currently taking medication for it and it's at a stable level. My problem is that I have a sagging face because of this disease. I'm only 24 years old, so my face shouldn't be sagging like this. I'm very upset about my appearance as I look much older than my age with the undereye bags and sagging cheeks. What kind of procedure would I need to undergo? Face lift? Or would there be an alternative treatment to reduce the sagging? thanks
Answer: 24-year-old with a sagging face. You certainly don't need to have surgery. There is on deficiency in the periocular area that would be easily corrected. Fillers the nasolabial fold would probably also make the face look more youthful with better volume distribution.

Answer: An in-person consultation is necessary to fully evaluate your condition and see if you have enough sagging to warrant a facelift While skin quality, not age, should be the primary concern when it comes to having a facelift, 24 is actually quite young for such an invasive procedure. An in-person consultation is necessary to fully evaluate your condition and see if you have enough sagging to warrant a facelift, but most likely, you would benefit more from a combination of facial fillers to restore volume in a non-invasive manner. I hope this helps.

Answer: Non surgical options for the face Thank you for your question and photos:Fortunately there are a host of great non-surgical options for you.1) Fillers can replenish volume and provide a more lifted/sculpted look. Based on your photos, I would also consider Sculptra.as it provide more substantial volumizing of the face. Some restylane under the eyes would also provide a more rested look.2) Laser skin resurfacing (e.g fractionated CO2 or radiofrequency) will help your skin3) Profound - a new radiofrequency microneedling device can help maintain and build Collagen/Elastin4) Ultherapy can provide collagen building at deeper tissue levels.Ultimately, I would recommend visiting a board certified plastic surgeon or dermatologist who specialize in these non-invasive options to discuss the options out there and customize a plan for you.

Answer: Facelift? Thank you for your question. Based on your picture, I believe you would be an excellent candidate for hyaluronic filler to help with the areas of the face with volume loss. The region around the eye and midface respond very well to fillers. Also, filler within the nasolabial folds will also improve volume in the cheeks. At this point I would not recommend a facelift or surgical procedure. Be sure to consult with a board certified facial plastic or general plastic surgeon who specializes in facial rejuvenation procedures. I hope that this helps!-David Gilpin

Answer: Saggy face Thank you for your picture. Based on your picture and a stable thyroid level, it appears that you could benefit from some volume in your cheeks. This can be accomplished either with fat grafting, Voluma, RADIESSE , SCulptra or cheek implants. Please consult with several board certified facial plastic or plastic surgeons. Good luck.

Answer: Sagginess treated with fillers At this young age, I would not recommend a facelift, but fillers could give you a nice result by filling in the folds.
