How long do the breasts take to soften after explant and lift?

It will normally take 6 months or more for the breast tissue to soften after a lift or reduction type of operation.

Congratulations on your surgery! It's not uncommon for it to take up to six months for your tissues to relax and feel softer and more "natural". It's all a part of the healing process. Continue to follow your surgeon's instructions and discuss any concerns.

Thank you for your question.  Swelling and tightness at one month is normal.  Swelling takes about 6-9 months to fully resolve, but things should feel normal by 4 months.  Each week and month will be better.

It is normal for the breasts to feel firm and tight after breast lift surgery for about 6 months. Enjoy the firmness, before you know it, your breasts will be soft and mushy again!
