I had breast augmentation surgery 10 days ago, everything seems fine, just discovered those 2 small red spots(small red areas), are those hematomas? Should I be worried about those spots? I also wanna note my left breast has a dull slight pain/numbness/tingling.

Answer: Breast augmentation Hello and thank you for the question. Those spots are not hematoma. They could be a reaction to tape, surgical prep, etc or totally unrelated to your surgery. Best,Pejman Aflaki, M.D.Johns Hopkins-trained plastic surgeon

Answer: Healing after Breast Augmentation The red spots in the photos do not represent a hematoma and are more consistent with skin irritation from sensitive skin following your procedure. No treatment is required except ensuring that your postoperative garment edge is not pressing directly on the area. The symptoms you are describing in the left breast are not uncommon, and if they are not associated with increased swelling or fever they most likely have no real significance at this point. They should resolve over time. The only other thing to keep in mind is that breast pain is different from chest pain. Chest pain, with or without shortness of breath, needs to be addressed right away and is best done in the hospital setting.
