The rippling is only visible when I bent over. When I wear a sport bra, my right breast has a squished appearance. I'm thinking about getting a second opinion. Can rippling be fix ? Is it possible that something is wrong with the position or the pocket of my right breast?
Answer: Causes and cures for implant rippling Implants tend to show rippling on the sides and bottom of the breast because there is no muscle coverage there, and leaning forward changes the shape of the implant forcing them to ripple. The only question is whether it is visible or not, which depends on the coverage. More cohesive implants ripple less but are more firm. Depending on several factors, an internal bra may be the solution.

Answer: Rippling when bending over... Most likely, there's nothing wrong with your breast implant pocket. Rippling of breast implants is more common with saline and textured breast implants. It is not as common of a problem with smooth breast implants unless these implants are very big. I suggest you discuss this concern with your plastic surgeon.Best wishes. Dr. ALDO

Answer: Rippling only when you bend over at your waist are traction ripples (like when you hold a water balloon by the knot) and this cannot be fixed unless you want to convert to textured anatomic implants and still have this if the implant does not adhere in position where placed (and a lot of other issue can happen too like malrotation). Certainly you can get a second opinion but I do not feel it is worth the costs, risks for failure, and additional down time if your appearances when upright are superb to try to correct this.

Answer: #plasticsurgery #breastimplants #augmentation Congratulations on your recent surgery and thank you for sharing your question about your post operative recovery and results after your surgery. Final results can take 6-12 months for all the swelling to subside. At our office we actually see all of our surgery patients the very next day after surgery and then again at two weeks and beyond. We enjoy staying closely connected to our patients and enjoy giving the extra attention and service. Your concerns are important to discuss directly with your board certified plastic surgeon. He or she will appreciate the open communication and will want to help you. I hope this is helpful and wish you all the very best. Sincerely, Brian S. Coan, MD, FACS

Answer: Saline or gel? Your question didn't include the most important info as to whether the implants are saline (much more wrinkly) or gel. Can you please clarify?
