Dr. Jan is an artist! He takes his time, has Great bedside manner, creates natural looking belly buttons and a nice low scar. Very respectful Dr who gave me back my confidence. The whole experience from consult to surgery day and post op appointments were amazing

I lost weight and was left was the less than flattering "extra skin". I did my research and repeatedly saw and heard Dr. Jan's name. At my initial consultation, he was exactly as people described (personable, professional, knowledgeable). My first 2 surgeries were completed at the same time. I had an arm lift and a neck lift. I was extremely happy with the results. My arm incisions were so well placed and healed so nicely that you would have to look very carefully to see them. The neck lift results were great and I could now wear clothing with any neckline without hesitation. A few years later, I had a consultation for a tummy tuck and an upper body lift. Dr. Jan explained the surgeries and I decided to proceed. I had these surgeries in October of 2024. The results were fabulous. My abdomen is flat. I have a waist again. And there are no lumps and bumps under my clothing. There is no exercise to tighten the loose skin. The skin was a reminder of the years I struggled with my weight- removing it does not only create physical changes, there are emotional ones also. I no longer find myself wearing tunics and stretchy pants. I love the results. I cannot believe the results. I highly recommend Dr. Jan for his beside manner and surgical skill.

I cannot say enough amazing things about Dr. Jan and the entire staff at ASA. I have been thinking about a tummy tuck for 15 years. I cannot possibly express how positive my experience has been with Dr. Jan. He is a meticulous surgeon who clearly wants nothing more than to perform a safe surgery that gives his patients the most beautiful results possible. He was very honest about what my abdominoplasty would entail, from pre-op to the recovery process, and his friendly and professional clinical staff are always available for questions or concerns. I could not be happier with my result!

Aside from being a remarkable surgeon, Dr. Jan is a warm, compassionate man who will make you feel cared for at each office visit. He never came off as rushed and always spent time answering my questions thoroughly. You will be hard pressed to find a more well-rounded surgeon. From the consultation through the surgery and several follow-up visits, Dr. Jan was kind and thorough. I had multiple procedures done at once. I had high expectations prior to the surgery but I couldn’t even imagine the results would be this good. I appreciate the time he took to understand my goals and make them a reality. Yesterday I hit three months post op from a breast augmentation, back lipo, abdominoplasty with muscle repair and a small umbilical hernia repair. About two years ago I weighed almost 300 pounds (299 to be exact) and after moving to Pennsylvania, I saw a new doctor who told me I was going to die if I decided to remain morbidly obese. It took me about a year and half but I lost 150 pounds. I always knew I wanted to have surgical repair of my muscles but I was really worried that I would end up needing a panniculectomy. So I wore a full body compression suit from skims for most of my weight loss. So either that worked or I have good genetics I don't know but I didn't need the panniculectomy! Anyway, once I hit 180 pounds (I'm 145 now) I started looking at doctors - we are from Boston, and just moved from New York and have lived in Miami so I went to consults in each of those cities and really did a ton of research. Looked at pictures, studied reviews and invested the money in office visits to meet the doctors I picked out. I know it seems excessive to fly to Miami but this is your body, it's an investment and each physician has their own style and approach. I was looking through pictures and reviews and came across dr. Jan's profile and really liked the incision placement and shaping so I booked the appt right away.

Our first visit with dr. Jan (by the way I dragged my husband to all those appts since he was paying lol) I was really impressed with his professionalism and we got to review more of his work. I was literally jumping up and down inside with excitement - like okay, here take my money now - my only complaint is that he books out so far in advance! I saw him in feb and the earliest he had was July.... and I didn't want to have surgery in the summer... so I had to wait till august. Well worth the wait! Going to so many consults it was interesting to see what each of them recommended. He was the first doctor to tell me I did not necessarily need a lift with implants - I found this really interesting. I also left my implant size up to him (I think we went with 450s?). I'm also not a stick figure and shaping was really important to me - he listened to me. Like really listened to me -and I ended up with exactly what I wanted. I love my hips and didn't want to lose them. I also had a really significant diastasis that caused me a lot of pain that he fixed. I ended up not getting a lift after some back and forth and I do have some asymmetry when I don't wear a bra but that is just from the natural shape of my breasts. I may do a lift in a few years but I'm 41 and I don't really care. Overall I'm glad I listened to him.

I've been a nurse/nurse practioner (depending on the state lol) for 21 years now and the other thing that is important to me is how doctors treat their nurses and people that they work with. I challenge you to find someone who has something bad to say about dr. Jan. He's literally the nicest guy - I work in the same hospital system and know some of the people he works with and they all rave about him. I also have some medical trauma and he and his or staff were so kind to me about it and discussed all the procedures and what would happen when I was under anesthesia which really helped me. The nurse even held my hand and promised me that she wouldn't let anything bad happen to me.

Recovery was hard. Pain was fine - I was just so tired. I took one week off of my work from home job and went back to the hospital at around 6 weeks. I used silicone scar tape and vitamin e and a roller for my back, I had some hard spots from the back lipo. The roller helped. It was hard to stand up straight so at six weeks I referred myself to pt which helped. I also eat super healthy which I think helped in the recovery. There are a lot of recommendations on the internet on what to do during your recovery (weird body suits, stuff in your belly button??) but I just kept it simple and followed all of the instructions he gave me. I wore what he said to wear, etc. i had a minor issue with belly button and he and his nurse responded immediately and fixed everything.

I don't think you can go wrong with picking dr. Jan for your surgery, he will design a pt specific plan and won't promise you what he can't deliver. I came in with super realistic expectations and he went above and beyond what I expected. Couldn't be happier. My only complaint is that my husband literally can't keep his hands off of me now and it's a little exhausting lol. Thanks dr. Jan for changing my life!

I am about 7 months out from my full mm and could not be happier. I never thought I could have a flat stomach again. Working out is no longer a chore, it's fun! I actually got concerned a few weeks ago about some hardness in my stomach and asked my primary care doctor. Turns out I haven't seen or felt my hip bones in years and I actually have really amazing stomach muscles now. Thanks dr Jan again!

46 yo, never had children. When I went off birth control, my breasts went from 34DD down to a 34C and all I was left with was excess skin and a lot of annoyance. I considered a breast reduction when I was a 34DD because I didn’t like having a large chest but once they shrank on their own, they were even worse. For a long time I thought only implants were the solution but in 2022 I started to research seriously and found breast lift as an option.
I met with Dr Jan and he assured me I could get the lift I wanted while keeping what size I had left to keep my body proportions because a 34C is a good size for me. I really didn’t want to invest in new clothes or bras by having my size go down.
I had my surgery August 1 and the surgery was a huge success. I still fit all of my clothing and bras but instead of spilling over the edge of bra cups, I fill them out perfectly. I actually can’t get over how nice they look now!! There is no sagging…they stand up on their own, all without implants!
Dr Jan was awesome! He is the kindest doctor I have ever met and he made sure I was comfortable before the surgery and during each followup visit. He took the time to explain exactly what he would do and what to expect. He did an incredible job with the suturing and my scars are healing nicely. I look exactly like he said I would.
In my last visit with him, he showed me my Before photos and it was astonishing to see the difference.
Yes, the surgery is a big step and the first week was a lot of swelling. Everything felt tight and I could only lift my arms up so far. Two weeks off of work was a must. The compression bra made all the difference when I returned to work since I had to be upright 10+ hours per day.
I began working out lightly after one month with walking, slowly increased to short runs, while at the same time did very light weightlifting as my range of motion increased as the sutures near my underarms healed.
Today I am 11.5 weeks post surgery and I can fully do all prior exercises. I lost no sensation in my nipples due to Dr Jan’s careful avoidance of my nerves, and I fit cute tops that I was never able to wear before.

The cost was a combination of the doctor’s charge as well as the anesthesiologist plus operating room.
