I posted a question about my visible rib graft earlier but I would like some opinions on permanent solutions. I had my rhinoplasty many years ago and have been happy with the results however the rib graft has started to become visible. Are there any permanent ways to hide the graft? Could a layer of fascia be added to the side of the bridge? Or could fat be injected into the nose?

You are correct in that it is easier to recommend composite grafting for excessively done alar base resection in patients with nostril stenosis and breathing problems than for aesthetic reasons.... the explanation for this is that composite grafting is usually taken from the ear... the mismatch...

Thanks for your question. Fascial grafts can be a fantastic addition to a rhinoplasty surgery when needed, and yes, you can use fascia lata. However, temporalis fascia is more supple, easier to access since it will be in the same operative field as your face when undergoing the rhinoplasty,...
