How long after rhinoplasty are stitches removed?

Every patient is different and it is best to follow your surgeon's instructions.  In general, 7-10 days is best, however.. there may be a reason he does not want to remove them earlier.  Some of the reasons may include absorbable sutures which may be taken out at a later time or also may be allowed to dissolve on their own.  Second, he/she may have a wound healing reason.  Good luck and follow up with your surgeon regularly as scheduled by office staff

I remove rhinoplasty sutures for most patients on day 6 or 7. 16 days seems a bit long, but surgeons can have varying protocols and use different types of suture.
