Thanks for the photo and question. I'm not really ure you should have the bridge (dorsum) lowered. It really depends on the final appearance you are after. You would be best served by a live consultation. You should take photos of noses that you like. Good luck.
Thank you for your question. I would suggest you speak with a board certified facial plastic or plastic surgeon in your area to discuss changes to your nasal bridge. Depending on your goals, the cost and recovery time associated with this procedure can vary. When you meet with a surgeon, you will have full physical examination, and you can discuss your goals for surgery. Also, be sure to ask for before and after photos, as well. I hope that this helps!-David Gilpin
Hello,The decision of how much to reduce the bridge of your nose is based on several issues. The most important of these is your desires. Secondarily, the surgeon should have a conversation with you about the balance and function of your nose within the context of your requests. If your request falls within the aesthetic and functional constraints of the operation then you're good to go. I recommend a board certified facial plastic surgeon for your procedure.Regards,
Hello and thank you for your question. The decision of how much to remove from the dorsum of your nose really depends on your goals of surgery and your nasal anatomy. Make sure you specifically look at before and afterpictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeonand not just a computer animation system. The most importantaspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seekconsultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluateyou in person.Best wishes and good luck.Richard G. Reish, M.D.Harvard-trained plastic surgeon

In my experience it's best to PREVENT post-op vomiting in patients with a combination of medications used DURING surgery. For the small subset of patients that we do not succeed in doing so, we use Zofran ODT commonly with good results.
