What kind of results with my shape? Can I expect a waist? (Photos)

Question

This is my shape…can I expect any kind of waist? I know I won’t be an hourglass shape after a tummy tuck, but my narrow hips / hip dips have always made me so self conscious. Now after 3 c-sections the large belly and overhang make it so much worse. I desperately want some kind of balance in my body. I’d love to hear from experience what you think I should expect from this surgery. Booked for consult in a few weeks and hopefully surgery in June. 5’6” 180 lb. Will be down to 165 and stable for surgery.

Thanks for the photos.  I can see that you have relatively narrow hips which makes defining a waist harder.  You may have what is known as a "apple" body type, meaning most of your excess skin and fat occurs in the middle, not on the hips and buttocks.

Liposuction, tummy tuck, and muscle repair can improve your chances of getting that definition but the surgeon examining you will have to set your expectations. Best wishes from Texas !

Flattening your tummy and waist liposuction with some fat transfer to hips will give you more hourglass contour.

There are some limitations based on you anatomical shape but improvement, transformation is expected.

Further discussion with your/a plastic surgeon will confirm that you are a good candidate as well as best options, expectations.
