Can I get lipo on my butt? (Photos)

Question

Butt reduction and tummy lipo I have always been conscious about my butt and want to reduce it . Planning lipo on my thighs hips tummy and back roll. Is it appropriate to have lipo on butt I want it as small as possible

From the photo view (we have only one view...) I can see that it is possible to have lipo and body contouring on you, also we can see the buttock has irregularities like dimples, those can be disrupted with special cannulas to get the best round you can... Lipo of the buttocks is possible, usually people ask the opposie, to have more volume... Hope this help you on your qustion...

Liposuction can certainly help with body contours and make a buttock or hip appearance look better. Lipo of the upper-outer butt, outer thigh, and hip-flank area in lieu of the actual buttock cheek will provide proportional contours.  Aggressive lipo to the buttocks can result in baggy or rippling skin, and lead to skin irregularities that cannot be completely corrected.  Be sure to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon who performs hundreds of liposuction procedures each year with favorable patient reviews and hundreds of before and after photos on his or her website.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA

Thanks for the question, I have had mixed results with this procedure, I think some gentle liposuction that is very deep can be of value but aggressive or superifical liposuction tends to give a droopy unnatural result

You can certainly get liposuction of the buttocks. However, you don't want to be too aggressive in this area. You don't want to create a droopy, flat appearance, so you have to be conservative in this region. Good luck!

Unfortunately I find that lipo of the buttock is not satisfying due to the deflation that occurrs. Placement of fat in the correct places can achieve more balance without making it look bigger.

Yes it is possible to get liposuction of the buttocks but it is an unusual patient request in my experience (most patients want the opposite!). One must be careful, however, because overly aggressive liposuction and in the wrong areas can make the butt appear droopy. Consulting with a qualified plastic surgeon in your area will allow for an examination and discussion of treatment options.

It is certainly possible to have liposuction on the buttocks. Essentially it is possible to do liposuction on any external portion of the body that has localized excess fat. The most important thing to do is to get correct body proportions. Each person desires a different ideal proportion but if a smaller buttock is what you want then you should ask your surgeon to do it at the same time. If you do not your buttock may look larger in relation to the other areas that become smaller after liposuction. Good luck.

The quality of the result of any liposuction is dependent on many things including the underlying musculoskeletal build and the ability of the skin to retract.  Unfortunately, buttock skin does not always retract well, and the empty skin envelope can sag.  The buttock then projects less, but also looks aged, consequently, buttock liposuction is only appropriate for some select patients.  Often times however the appearance of the buttock can be improved by a combination of fat grafting and liposuction around the gluts (lower back, hips, proximal thighs) to frame the buttock better and provide a more favorable body contour.  Consider a formal consultation to discuss your options.
