Hi, Im 35yrs old, I have 2 boys, both were breast fed until they turned 1. I've always been had small breasts, 34A. I want to have implants now that im done having babies. At my appt i was told needed a lift. My breasts do sag but after looking thru pictures on this site, I saw alot of women who had breasts that sagged way more then mine do and they didnt have a lift done. I also chose a 495cc high profile, Im 5'3 133 lbs.
Answer: Profile doesn't create lift Dear Exhuberant, High profile is just a different shape of the implant. IMO a bigger, higher profile is not a replacement for needing a breast lift. Your nipples will just hang off the lower portion of the implant. I advise looking carefully before going with such a large implant. They can very easily make a petite woman look thick and they come with more risk for complications and future surgeries. See a Board Certified plastic surgeon that can show you some sizing devices to give you an idea of what that implant may look like on you. It still will not lift your nipples significantly.

Answer: Lift You did not post photos, so I cannot say if you do need a lift. With no lift, you will just have larger and still sagging breasts with implants. I do not recommend 495 cc's for someone of your frame and height. That size is too large. During your consultation, you will be examined and measured, and can try on the range of sizes that best fits your frame and tissue.

Answer: Breast lift with implants Hello, thank you for your question. It would be difficult to advise based on numbers and size alone. I would look at before and after photos and have another discussion with your plastic surgeon. There is an option of going above the muscle but you may not be happy with those results over time.

Answer: I was told that I need a lift. Implants provide volume but little lift. If your breasts are truly sagging then implants alone will not correct this.

Answer: Breast lift A breast lift is recommended for a woman if the nipples are located at or below the breast fold. If you don’t feel comfortable with your surgeon’s opinion, you can find another surgeon for a second opinion.

Answer: Breast augmentation followed with breast lift, if needed. Breast augmentation and breast lift are two different procedures which are occasionaly performed together. However, if you do not want to do both, have breast augmentation with implants performed first, wait 6-12 months for result to settle and proceed with breast lift if you are not satisfied with augmentation. Good luck.
