8 months post op, left implant is tender - can this be capsular contracture? 250cc high profile under the muscle (photos)

Sometimes this can be from capsular contracture or nerve being stretched however this would not explain why it is sitting higher. I would again consult with your plastic surgeon, perhaps try massaging or see if anything can help with the symptoms until the one year.

The pain you describe could be from the nerves waking up. After a breast surgery 7 to 14% chance of changes in nipple sensation.

You can have a revision surgery as soon as 6 months after your prior surgery.

Your symptoms of tightness and pain and your photos suggest that this could be an early breast implant contracture. This is even more likely if your breasts were evenly positioned on your chest wall before surgery and in the earlier months after your surgery. Pre-operative photographs could provide some insight into the nature of your present asymmetry.
I would suggest that you return to your plastic surgeon since there is no substitute for an examination and candid discussion regarding your diagnosis and treatment options.

Good morning, when reviewing your photographs that you shared and if an asymmetry is seen and it may be conditioned by the placement of the muscle below or by capsular contracture and to clear up your doubts an ultrasound is required to confirm or not the diagnosis and the plan of treatment and we should not necessarily wait until a year, because if it is a contracture it increases and a revision surgery could be needed, when at this moment it could be avoided.
