I got Xeomin 12 days ago, but I can still make the 11's and I look like a witch when I raise my eyebrows. What to do?

Should I go back to the same doctor and will I be charged more to get this fixed? I'm a first timer & went to a board certified doctor. I received 28 unites and they were injected in a triangle pattern. I wanted to freeze my forehead & 11s. But I can still frown to make the 11's and when I raise my eyebrows I look like the Joker. The top & mid is frozen. But when I raise my eyebrows, I have a sharp crease above each eyebrows. One side is more sever than the other. Thank you.

Hi Jenabee,The triangular pattern allows the outer corner of the brow to go up and accentuate the "Spock Brow."Botoxing the forehead with a little bit more xeomin/botox just above the sharp crease above the eyebrows should help.Be forewarned that your forehead will feel heavy, but the "spock brow" looks worse to me than a slightly heavy forehead with a flatter more even brow.I hope this helps.Best,Dr. YangP.S. Thanks for your question. It is difficult to help you without photos or examining you myself. I would recommend seeing your injector 2 weeks after any injection.. 2 weeks allows time for swelling to go away and for the neurotoxin to kick in. In most cases, more neurotoxin can help with peaked eyebrows and residual wrinkles. Good luck!

This is not uncommon.To be sure, return to see your doctor or see two or more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment.I hope this helps.

It sounds like you still have excess movement between your eyebrows as well as either a "spock" brow or deep parenthesis lines above your outer brow. Every office will differ on how they handle touch ups. If I make a recommendation of a certain treatment plan, the patient follows it and the treatment falls short of our expectations, I will perform a touch up treatment at no charge. Not all offices share these thoughts but I consider it to be good service on my part. Call your injector to schedule a followup and ask about the associated costs for a touch up. Thank you for your question.  It does sound as if your injections need to be touched up.  It is always best to go back to the person who performed your injections as that individual is most likely to know where you were injected previously.  I am sorry that your first experience was not what you had hoped.  If you do not feel comfortable after speaking with the person who did your initial injections, I would seek a second opinion from a highly experienced injector

It does sound like you need a touch up for the "11" and some added above the eyebrow to help with the crease.  Some physicians will do free touch-ups if you originally get the recommended dose.

Some people are prone to the witch look that you describe, and a highly trained and experienced injector such as a dermatologist can avoid this for you. You may require a higher dose, it depends on several factors. 28 units is a reasonable dose for some people, but you may need more if your muscles are stronger, if you're recruiting more etc.

Hi, I have used Botox, Xeomin or Dysport for over 30 years.  If any of these neurotoxins (neuromodulators) are injected in too high of a dose or too close to the eyebrows...this can result in the "joker" look or eyebrows that appear droopy.  While these treatments are readily available, it always best to be certain that you are being treated by an experienced injector.
