Thank you for yourquestion. If you are experiencing swollen, itchy eyes that could be a possible side effect of Xeomin, contact the provider who performed your injections for a follow up appointment to review your concerns. To be sure, see twoor more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation tomake sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to havetreatment.I hope this helps.
If you are having a problem shortly after undergoing injectionsI would reach out to the person who did the injections. They should be able to address your concerns adequately. If they are unavailable or unable to answer your questions satisfactorily than I would consider seeking a second opinion
I would recommend contacting the physician who treated you to discuss the problem of swelling around your eyes after your Xeomin treatment. You need to be evaluated to determine what might be causing the swelling and this would determine the treatment.
It would be beneficial if you could post some pictures for review. I would recommend following up with your injector.
Dr. Edward Dickerson gives guidance and reassurance for those with concerns after having treatment done with Xeomin.
Hi, I have used Botox, Xeomin or Dysport for over 30 years. The swelling associated with a Xeomin treatment typically is quite minimal. You may want to call and speak with the expert Xeomin injector that performed your treatment. Like all "needle based" therapies, Xeomin injections can cause slight swelling. Ice therapy would be more effective than Benadryl in those situations. Benadryl is for the treatment of allergic reactions. If any of these neurotoxins (neuromodulators) are injected in too high of a dose or too close to the eyebrows...this can result in the "joker" look or eyebrows that appear droopy. While these treatments are readily available, it always best to be certain that you are being treated by an experienced injector.Hope this helps.
You should first of all contact your plastic surgeon to let him or her know what is going on.Most likely, it is just some residua from the injection itself - having needles injected into multiple places around the eyes can be expected to cause some swelling. But it's often a question of degree and it's hard for you to know what is normal and was is outside the normal range.A quick phone call to your plastic surgeon may help resolve that. He or she may want you to send some pictured, or arrange to be seen in the office.I hope that this helps and good luck,Dr. Alan EnglerMember of #RealSelf100
Thank you for your question. Neuromodulators are not approved during pregnancy however there is no adverse effect from the use of injectables. For more information, I recommend getting a in person consultation from a board-certified dermatologist.
Hi, I have used Botox, Xeomin or Dysport for over 30 years. No, none of the neurotoxins will worsen lines and wrinkles. Xeomin, like the other neurotoxins, weaken the muscles responsible for creating unwanted lines and wrinkles. The effects slowly wear off and by 3 months the muscle(s) trea...
I would not worry about this. It will resolve with time. Thank you for your question and for posting a picture.
