Is insomnia after Juvederm and Voluma injections in the temple something that can happen?

Neither Juvederm nor Voluma should directly lead to any physiologic reason for this, but the anxiety and timing of maturation may be playing a role.  I would talk to your injector about your concerns so that you can get the best advice and reassurance.

Thank you for your question. Insomnia is not a side effect of hyaluronic acid fillers. Insomnia can be caused by a multitude of other factors including anxiety, stress, or trauma. I would suggest speaking with your doctor about the anxiety you feel concerning the injections. We wish you the best!

My patients tell me they have headaches up to two weeks after having their temples injected.
They like the cosmetic improvement so its a trade off for them. Maybe you are having some discomfort or anxiety.
The fillers are temporary so you don't have to dissolve them. If your insomnia persists see a sleep specialist and  only dissolve the filler as a last resort.

I appreciate your concern but assure you that insomnia is not a byproduct of injectable filler treatments. Instead, I would guess the more anxious you become over your procedure, the more noticeable these symptoms become. If your anxiety continues, you can give your injector a call for reassurance. But I am confident the filler you received will begin to show positive results soon, which should also put your worries to rest.  

Hello and thank you for your question. Insomnia is not a documented side effect of filler, but can easily be caused by anxiety. Make sure you discuss your experience with your injector before getting your Voluma dissolved. Best of luck!

I highly doubt that the fillers would have such effect. There is no known link between fillers and insomnia.

I appreciate your concern, but there is no link between filler injections and insomnia. I would guess your sleepless nights can be attributed to your anxiety. I suggest contacting your injector for a follow-up to see if these eases your concerns.

My guess is that your anxiety over your procedure is leading to your sleeplessness. If you continue to have concerns, contact your provider for a follow-up. That conversation may go further in reducing your worries and improving your insomnia. You may also wish to check in with your primary care provider for guidance in reducing generalized anxiety and stress.
