I have suffered from acute insomnia several nights in a row following my first experience with a facial filler- in to both temples. Could the filler somehow directly or indirectly he causing this through some physiological mechanism or is it more likely my anxiety? I am considering having them dissolved if this continues. Please help, v stressed.

Answer: Insomnia after filler Are you sleeping in a different position to avoid lying on the filler? I have not previously heard of this being a side effect of dermal filler which makes me think that this is an anxious response. Temple injections done with an experienced injector are relatively safe. Complications can occur although insomnia is not one of them.Warm Regards,Dr Glenn Murray, Absolute Cosmetic Medicine

Answer: Insomnia Hello. Thanks for the question. There's no evidence of insomnia as a collateral effect of Juvederm or any other filler. You may have some stress, related or not to filler application. I suggest visiting your physician to talk about your concerns. Good luck!

Answer: Insomnia after Dermal Fillers I appreciate your concern but assure you that insomnia is not a byproduct of injectable filler treatments. Instead, I would guess the more anxious you become over your procedure, the more noticeable these symptoms become. If your anxiety continues, you can give your injector a call for reassurance. But I am confident the filler you received will begin to show positive results soon, which should also put your worries to rest.
