8 days after FUE and continuing to wash as per doctors instructions. Today I noticed the scabbing had turned white and is flaking off. Just wondering if this is ok, I'd imagine the actual root is far longer and bigger than the dot but wanted to be certain.
Answer: It is best to follow up with your doctor after your surgery for post operative care and check up. It is best to follow up with your doctor after your surgery for post operative care and check up. Scabbing and crusting is normal but you may consider washing your hair better.

Answer: White flakes I would discuss this with your operating surgeon. It can vary from completely normal (depending on how the grafts were placed, how wide the punch was and therefore how much surrounding dermal cuff there was) to your skin having a reaction to the shampoo you are using causing irritation. Find out from the office and they may be able to help guide you. You are correct, the bulbs are fairly deep, so it's not something to worry about. Congratulations on your procedure by the way! Best of luck.

Answer: White Scabs/Flakes As long as you aren't experiencing any unusual discomfort and the white flaking seems to be the only issue, I wouldn't be concerned. It could be dry skin, or it could be normal for your case. I highly doubt it is affecting your grafts in any way, but if you are worried ask your doctor about it- it can't hurt.

Answer: Thats normal Generally the grafts are placed with a little skin still out of the incision site. This little bit of skin begins to wash off around 8 days after the surgery. If you want to get rid of them, the shampoo 6 times in a row and each time let the shampoo sit for a minute before you rinse your hair. Use the balls of your fingers to gently massage off that dead skin. Unless you get bleeding which you should not after 8 days, even if you lose the hair the follicle remains under the skin. Most of the transplanted hair will fall out over the next month, and that is normal as well. I dont see anything out of the ordinary on your pictures. Enjoy the new hair!
