When I decided I would need a hair transplant procedure, I looked around for the best doctor. Dr. Gabe Krenitsky did my procedure. He was responsive to my needs and showed great professionalism !!!!
I had the hair transplant surgery in June 2016. Dr. Krenitsky and his staff were great to work with! Dr. Krenitsky is very personable and very thorough and definitely put me first as the patient. The procedure was explained very well and everyone was very attentive to my needs during the transplant. I'm approximately 8 months out from the surgery the results have been amazing. The whole procedure is not cheap, but the results and hair restoration thus far are well worth the money. Dr. Krenitsky has definitely delivered! I would absolutely recommend the procedure and Dr. Krenitsky for anyone who is debating the hair transplant surgery. If it'll make you happy, do it! Life is too short!
My procedure was hair transplant restoration. Dr. Krenitsky is incredibly talented! At the onset he relaxed me, and made me feel I was in excellent hands, the hands of a well qualified professional. He did a great job, the work of a true artist.
Amazing! This is the word I would like to start off describing my personal experience with Dr. Krenitsky. I was highly impressed with how comfortable Dr. K made me feel from start to finish with the entire procedure. The entire staff went above and beyond. The night before with a courtesy call easing my nerves, to the over all explanation of the entire procedure start to finish. The post ops were very informative along with the take home kit you receive after! I know I will not hesitate in the future to have any procedures done if needed, but with the unbelievable job that Dr. Krenitsky did I doubt I will need anything done in the near future! I can't express how extremely happy I am with the whole experience! Thank you so much Dr. K and your staff! Sincerely one happy patient Jarrod M.
35 yo male living in Indianapolis Indiana. I am considering hair transplantation for the very first time. I had my very first consultation Jan. 24, 2014. My hair situation is a level 3 on the Norwood scale according to the Bosley Hair Club for men. They recommended at least 1,100 grafts of hair in order to get the results I want. I started to noticed my receding hair line when I was 30yo. The estimated cost of the procedure for me will be $9,980. This includes hair grafts, a consultation with the doctor for 20 minutes prior to surgery (valued at $1,000), shampoo - hair products, haircuts and follow -up visits. The surgery will take place at their main office in Dublin, Ohio by Doctor Gabriel Krenitsky.I need some feedback in regards to my situation since I am very new to this process. Are 1,100 grafts enough to complete my hairline? Does the price seems reasonable? Any feedback about the doctor? Is it worth it considering my hair situation?I will appreciate any advice in this matter. Thank you
The process of balancing a hairline, ie: placing grafts in a way that the hairline is more even is not difficult. The real challenge for this kind of procedure is 1. Getting the density on the transplanted side high enough to blend in with the side you are trying to match (often takes more grafts than you might think), and 2. making sure you are treating what ever caused the hair loss to begin with. Even in the absence of family history, it is possible that you can have additional loss. Now imagine you have placed grafts into one corner and then you lose the remainder of the front 1/3. That can look unsettling. FUE is an excellent choice but no surgical procedure is 100 percent scar-less. Shaving with a razor may result in seeing some dot like scars or slight changes in skin color. This is more prominent in the donor area. Typically a 5 o'clock shadow length will sufficiently cover FUE scars. At the end of the day most hair loss issues require a comprehensive approach to the problem to truly solve it.
What you are describing is generally post op shedding. Any time you have a procedure to a body part that contains hair, this is a possibility. It is just more disconcerting when you come in for more hair and temporarily get less... The good news is this is temporary, the bad news is its annoying and will take 4-7 months to come back in. Transplanted grafts will also be falling out after 3 weeks or so, so you are on the correct pathway. Hang in there. Hair transplant results are like running a marathon as opposed to a sprint.
Generally, unless you got bleeding, there is no harm done. A stretching sensation can be caused by a number of factors. Grafts dislodged immediately after surgery almost always results in bleeding however. Its therefore unlikely that you caused any significant issues.
The 2 main issues that early are graft displacement, and infection risk. At 2-3 days you still have a healing wound essentially. Dusty and or dirty environments are not necessarily an ideal setting under that circumstance. Additionally, grafts can be dislodged from trauma, or from any head gear that compresses, or drys and attaches to grafts. Its doable, but you really need to be careful. I would suggest a lose fitting baseball cap that doesn't press on the grafts and keeps the head as clean as possible. I would also shower, gently washing the head when you get home. By day 5 - 7 you will have much less of this concern as the grafts and donor areas are fairly well healed by then.
From a graft growth standpoint it will get a little thicker. At your age, however, the probability that you will need a subsequent surgery is very high. Medication, laser therapy, Rogaine, and PRP my help prevent that, but I would plan on needing more as 2300 grafts is not a full head of hair. The three main reasons that patients do second surgeries are 1. They just want to add density. 2. They want to work on a new area. 3. They lose more hair with time.
