Lip fillers won't shorten the philtrum, but they can improve shape. PDO nova threads can be used to lift the lips. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Thank you for your question. Yes, lip augmentation can reduce the distance of the philtrum for a youthful, and natural looking result. I suggest that you consult with your board certified facial plastic surgeon to determine if surgical or non-surgical options are best for you.Best wishes,
Just get a lip lift. Fillers will not do it, threads will not work. You have a long upper lip and a lip lift can be done in the office comfortable and effectively. Look at some of my patient results and stories and watch our video to learn more.
Thanks for your question. Strategically placed filler, containing hyaluronic acids such as Juvederm, Restylane, and Volbella, can create fuller volume in the lips. Indeed, it can even suddenly change the shape of the lip as well. However, if you have significant lip shape issues, such as a long upper lip or drooping corners, then you could opt additionally for other procedures, such as an upper and/or corner lip lift. Best to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in lip augmentation.
smile1417. I also am not a fan of lip lift surgery because of scarring. Lip fillers should work for you, making the upper lip distance to nose look shorter. I would recommend conservative lip augmentation with Hyaluronic Acid, like Juvederm Ultra plus to see if you like the look. Another option is fat transfer which is more permanent. It is done under local anesthesia and fat is usually taken from the lower abdomen or thighs. Studies show that at least 1/3 of transferred fat last forever.
Having fillers lips can help camouflage the length of the lip from the nose to the Cupid’s bow. It’s a great alternative to the lip lift. Additionally, microneedling may lead to tightening of the skin in the lip after a series of treatments!Good luck, Dr. Aldo
Thank you for your question. No, lip fillers will not shorten the philtrum. However, fillers can be used to add volume and symmetry. As hyaluronic acid fillers are not permanent you can have it dissolved if unhappy with the results. I recommend having a consultation with an expert injector to determine the best treatment plan for you. Best of Luck!
Surgery will give you optimal results. You definitely can have fillers injected in your lips to get more volume and give the appearance a shorter philtrum. I would recommend you trying out Juvederm as a product for your lips. Hope this helps.
Unfortunately lip fillers will not shorten the upper lip skin. Sometimes they make the upper lip look odd. Lip lift is safe in expert hands. We have done many many lip lift and the scars look great. It’s not for everyone but it’s the only solution to your concern. We are happy to help. Best wishes
Although lip filler cannot be used to shorten or thin the philtrum, fillers can be used to improve lip proportions and symmetry. I recommend you schedule an in person consultation with an experience aesthetic physician to determine an appropriate treatment plan for your specific case.
Dear mj123lo: Restylane-L, Restylane Defyne and also Refyne as well as Juvederm Ultra Plus should fill the lips with some lift as well. Restylane Lyft and Volume have higher G’ or cohesivity, and could feel too firm, swell too much, and/or be lumpy. I agree that the skill of the injector is a m...
An allergic reaction would be unusual 5 months after, but not impossible. It sounds more like a delayed reaction/infection and the treatment seems appropriate. Follow up frequently with your injector for this to resolve appropriately. Good luck, Dr. ALDO
