Answer: 12 Days Post-Op By now the scabs should be completely or mostly gone. Gently rub them in the shower and they should come off fairly easily by now- check with your doctor about exactly what the best procedure to do this is. Other than that there really isn't anything to be monitoring at this point.

Answer: Healing from a hair transplant Thanks for posting your question and photos. I do not think you need to be very anxious; however, there are steps you should be considering at this point to improve the overall appearance of your head. It looks like you have lots of scabs and crusts after your hair transplant. The scabs are starting to fragment. The goal is for the scabs/crusts to fall off without damaging the transplanted follicles. Moisture will be very helpful to loosen crusting. You should follow your doctors recommendations on showering and shampooing. You should see further loosening of the scabs. You should visit your transplant surgeon if you are confused with the directions or concerned. The goal is to have every transplanted hair survive the journey. Best of luck!

Answer: Post-op Instructions It is always best to follow the post-op instructions that have been provided for you. At day 12, I would suggest that you wash off the scabbing and crusting that you have left. Use baby shampoo and gently rub off the scabs in the shower. The grafts have been firmly implanted by 7-10 days so you will be safe to get rid of this scabbing. If you have any questions though it is always best to notify the doctor that performed the surgery and have follow ups.
