One month post op after 500 graft FUE with 0.85mm punch, I have gaps in my hair where the follicles were removed. I don't think there is any hypopigmentation, fortunately, but the fact is my doctor told me there would no visible signs of FUE treatment when I shave my hair down. Its only been one month. Will things improve over the next year (i.e. will those gaps contract, or dormant hairs grow into those spaces)? I don't want SMP, but I need a solution. Would body hair transplant work?

Answer: There is no such thing as NO SCAR FUE. You will always have gaps and little round areas of hypopigmentation
It can take 6 to 12 months after surgery to see results. If you are concerned it is best to contact your doctor. There is no way to tell if your surgery is "on track" at 9 weeks.
It is best to ask your surgeon about post operative care as each doctor has their unique regimen. In general you should be able to wear a helmet after one week but check with your doctor.
Testosterone supplement or replacement therapy should not affect the transplanted hair or donor hair. If you are worried, share your concern with your doctor and inform them of your medical / medication issues.
