Question

Donor area is healing well but only thing which is bothering me is redness on scalp and pimples. When i touch those areas where there are pimples it hurts. My doctor said i should leave it but it hurts. They said i should use kids saltwater in donor area if itching but i its itching on top area also but i never used saltwater there.

If you are having issues after surgery, especially with "redness" you should contact your doctor. Redness and pimples are signs of infection.

It is not unusual to develop "pimples" like you describe after such a large grafting session.  They most likely represent ingrown follicles which often resolve with warm compresses or simply time.  Antibiotics are reserved for very painful or large lesions that will not resolve after a week or so.  Do follow up with your doctor, however.

You didn't mention how long ago your procedure was.Those pimples might be hairs erupting through the skin or folliculitis (infection). I would recommend following up with your surgeon.

Thank you for your question and posting your pictures. Boils or pimples can be a sign of two things. First, grafts that have been transected and subsequently implanted can result in an ingrown follicle that gets secondarily infected. The second option is a straight up infection. I suspect the first is the cause of your problem. They can be treated with hot water compresses and antibiotics and should resolve. You should follow up with your hair transplant surgeon for an examination and treatment.I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.

Pimples can be a sign of infection and should be checked out with an examination by your surgeon and treated if it is an infection
