I'm getting a hair transplant on the 19th of August. I'm also planning on taking drivers license for Motorcycle. Because you wear an elastic hood on you head and than a helmet, will this have an effect on the healing process? When can I comfortably start taking lessons for MC?

Answer: Motorcycle after FUE? Skyharbor,FUE performed with a .7mm punch used in our office, heals exceedingly fast within 3-4 days after the procedure. It is completely healed and minimally visible after a week. There are always risk associated with riding a motorcycle however it is no more dangerous one week out from having the procedure.

Answer: FUE Hair Transplants Heal in About A Week I agree with my colleague that after one week, you can consider the FUE transplant to be healed. Scabs and crusts should exfoliate and flake off from the scalp at that point with gentle fingertip circular motion--no scratching please! Over the past twenty years, we've found that there are a number of ways to accelerate healing from hair transplant procedures and those would include proper nutrition, special healing soaks, sprays & mists, topically applied PRP, as well as low level laser therapy and hyperbaric oxygen treatments that are timed and dosed appropriately. Good luck and remember to always wear your helmet! :) Sincerely, Dr. Alan J. Bauman, MD, ABHRS, FISHRS
