I had an explant with full capsule removal 25 days ago. I'm 38 years old and had textured allergan drop shaped silicon for almost 15 years. I breastfeed 1 child. I was told I was not a candidate for breast lift before surgery. Is it possible to do a lift for a more perky youthfull look? I don't want another implant or fat transfer. I just wonder if it is possible to acomplish the look with lift only.
Answer: Lift only after explant Hello, thank you for your question. Yes a breast lift alone is possible. Removing of the excess skin and slightly higher placement of your areolas. I would hold off on the surgery if you are planning to have more children. Keep in mind in exchange for tighter slightly perkier breast you will have scars around that area. I would speak to you plastic surgeon about your outcomes and expectations especially over time.

Answer: Lift may not be necessary Your nipples are above your breast fold, however you have some loose skin. It is possible that a donut lift can help reduce some of this loose skin. However, you may want to wait about 4-6 months after your explant surgery as your skin may retract a bit on its own.

Answer: Lift Once you have healed and the swelling has subsided, then you can consider doing a lift. You will need to wait about 6 months from surgery.

Answer: Breast Lift after Explant Yes, breast lift after explant is a good option in women who are satisfied with their breast size after the implants are removed but want to change the shape, tighten skin, or improve nipple position. In women who already have good nipple position, the primary benefits would be tightening the skin and reshaping the breast.

Answer: Can I have a breast lift after explant? Hello, Thank you for the question and photos. Breast lipofilling using fat grafting would be the best option for you in order to achieve a more perky, youthful and uplifted breast appearance, rather than breast lift. Breast lift is typically performed to raise the nipple and in your situation the nipple is in adequate position. I suggest that you seek an in person consultation with a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon in order to discuss your goals and concerns for the best cosmetic results. I hope this helps.
