I am day 4 post-op bilateral otoplasty. I had a large compression bandage in place through my appointment this morning, when it was removed. I'm told the swelling and discoloration will continue to resolve. My concern is the appearance of my left ear crease. My surgeon is out of town and my follow up was with the resident surgeon whom was present in my surgery.

A bone spur in the back of the septum is unrelated to all of the ear issues and sinus infections. Removal of the bone spur is performed with a septoplasty as an outpatient surgical procedure which should help with nasal obstruction and sometimes with facial headaches.
Seems a well done incision, correct location and good technique of suture; the scar is in maturation, red and itchi, the typcal stuff, no worries, will improve.
